I've got to keep on moving
Nothing to new to report. Sona smiles at us all the time now, which is great. She also sees things and is slowly learning to control her hands. She stares at them with an intensity that you don't usually see. And then in other moments, she moves them towards her face, usually in an attempt to put them in her mouth, but more often than not, boinking herself in the face. I've also started to try to video tape some of her calmer moments...hopefully posts to come soon. Finally, she is now patiently sitting through reading a few books. She sits most patiently through Hungry Catepillar, which I read to her in utero. I like to imagine that makes a difference. Otherwise, things are good. Mostly looking forward to when she has a predictable schedule.

Vaccinations
Sonali received her first round of vaccinations on Wed. Luckily I missed the trauma of the actual vaccination, in which she whimpered and sounded like a wounded animal. After getting home, she slept for 4 or 5 hours and then proceeded to scream. It's been 2 days now and she is finally getting back to normal. Last night she gave me a full faced smile, which we haven't seen. The other big news is that she is increasingly happy lying on her back for stretches at a time, during which I try to read to her and point at objects and name them (largely irrelevant I think).

Baarsa
We moved and held a naming ceremony for Sonali all within one week. Miraculously Sona was great and saved all her fussing until the end.

Sonali's first smile
Sonali smiled at her dad today! Twice! This was her first smile and made her mother very mad.
